The place of the archive is connected to me with the mystery theme and the attractive inaccessibility. With the rise of digitization, man's access to the archive changes and so do his feelings about manipulating archival records. In the comfort of the digital world, the idea of prudence and secrecy is lost. By designing a new type of archive, I am trying to create a closed world of the researcher, separated from the surrounding city. There is no access reserved for the privileged group, but the spatial concept does the natural filtering of public visitors
Formats of Lying
Čepelka, Michal ; Mikuláštík, Milan (referee) ; Klímová, Barbora (advisor)
I perceive the thesis as a result of long-term considerations of forms of lies and manipulation and their importance in today's society. Based on the research of these forms and the environments in which they occur, I try to detect the effect of the lie on both individuals and society. And with the use of multiple media that capture this exploration process.
The Fantastic Moment. On the Verge of the Real.
Dašková, Michaela ; Smetana, Matěj (referee) ; Klímová, Barbora (advisor)
In my diploma I continue in the topic which I solved in my theoretical part of diploma. I study that "Fantastical moment" in practise. I am interested in its uprise or creation, in its character in memories of other people and in its evoking. The book is documentation of my collecting work and also of my secret interventions in personal places of my kith and kin which are hardly accesible by spectator. The book (or issue) is set in 4 pieces. In ideal case I would like to edit it in about 100 pieces and distribute it in galerie´s shops. In this way it would be possible to lent it in some chosen places in Brno.
The Ideology, the Play, the Secret: The Role of the Slovene Contemporary Fairy-tale in 1945-1975
Slezáková, Magdalena ; Jensterle Doležal, Alenka (advisor) ; Nedvědová, Milada (referee)
The thesis deals with shapes of the Slovene fantastic tale in the 1945-1975's and looks into the roles which have been assigned to it by it's authors. The thesis assumes that during this period, there were three basic types of authorial approach: fantastic tale in the service of the state ideology, fantastic tale as a free play of imagination and fantastic tale with overlap. These three roles are analyzed on the example of nine fantastic tales, most of them being from the literary canon of the Slovene children's literature: Udarna brigada (Anton Ingolič), Zgode in nezgode kraljevskega dvora (Milan Šega), Drejček in trije Marsovčki (Vid Pečjak), Moj dežnik je lahko balon (Ela Peroci), Strah ima velike oči (Marjan Marinc), Kosovirja na leteči žlici (Svetlana Makarovič), Potovanje v tisočera mesta (Vitomil Zupan), Deklica Delfina in lisica Zvitorepka (Kristina Brenkova) and Avtomoto mravlje (Jože Snoj).
The Ontology of the Void

Furthermore, the work seeks to examine the veracity of statements II. Vatican concilium, which identify the Church as sacrament, that mean the secret. The work examines the main approaches to the mystery and the language they speak about him. While access to the mystery, which has Gnostic character and is well characterized and defined conceptually, it can be seen that the designation anit-gnostic mystery of missing a simple term. Work and offers use of the term exotheric, which is contrary to esoteric and further work highlights the typical character and timbre of this exotheric mystery. The work also aligns with the mystery as objective scientific phenomenon and examines whether the other sciences (mathematics or astronomy) may be encountered exoteric and objective mystery. Investigate the findings are eventually applied to the discourse on the Church, which shows that if the church was not defined as secret, it would be reduced to mere human community and vice versa, if the Church was reduced only as a community insider secrets, it would be just another gnostic sect.

Role of a writer in selected metafictional novels
Šulcová, Eva ; Peterka, Josef (advisor) ; Kubíček, Tomáš (referee)
The role of a writer in selected metafictional novels Bc. Eva Šulcová Abstract This diploma thesis deals with the genre of metafictional novel. The aim of the diploma thesis is to identify various internal motivations for the usage of metafiction technique in literature and to describe the role of a writer. The first part summarizes the theoretical background of the genre and formulates some characteristic features of metafictional novel (emphasized vicariousness of the narrative, reflection of the creative act, personality of the writer, or the problematized relationship between reality and fiction), which were all illustrated by the analysis of André Gide's novel The Counterfeiters. The second part consists of interpretations of three metafictional novels. The interpretations aim at a complex analysis of the author and at a description of various functions of the metafiction technique as a constituent of the work's meaning. Gide uses metafiction to display the discrepancy between reality and illusion, thus uncovering hypocrisies of society and passing judgement on it. To Čapek, metafiction is a tool for applying multiperspectivity to his storyline, thus creating a metaphor of varying epistemic principles. Metafictional genre was further utilized by Řezáč in his novel Rozhraní to illustrate the polarity...
